Brandon Heath (Live in Seattle)

Brandon Heath (Live in Seattle)

I love concert photography. I love capturing the raw emotions and the energy of musicians surrounded by fantastic lighting. Being a drummer for my school, college and church bands, I love music. And I love photography.

On Jan 28th 2011, TobyMac, Brandon Heath and The House of Heroes performed in Seattle as part TobyMac’s Winter Wonder Slam 2011 Tour. The concert was held in the Overlake Christian Church at Redmond. I’ve heard about this church before but this was the first time I went there. This church is huge and the parking lot is HUGE-R! I was able to use my newly acquired Canon 70-200f2.8 IS II lens (monster!) here!

The alternative rock band House of Heroes kicked off the concert in fine fashion, although I didn’t know any of their songs.

THoH gave way to the very popular and talented multiple Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee – Brandon Heath. I first heard about Brandon through his touching song ‘Give Me Your Eyes’. I’ve been a fan since. He seems like a honest and approachable kind of star. He sang a few of his classics and some from his new album, “Leaving Eden”.
